1. Put the salmon in a large bowl and grind with a fork. Add 1 tablespoon of horseradish, grated peel of half a lemon, mashed potatoes and a little black pepper. Mix well. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add onion and fry for 1-2 minutes until soft. Cool slightly, then add fish.

We prepare very tasty fish meatballs. Find out the secret of the most juicy meatballs, which can be fried or baked.


& # 8211 80 gr white bread + 120 ml water or milk at room temperature

& # 8211 600 gr of minced fish meat (salmon, hake, Alaska cod, etc.)

& # 8211 100 gr of frozen green peas

& # 8211 2-3 tablespoons fresh dill

& # 8211 salt and spices for seafood


1. Pour the milk over the bread and let it swell for about 5 minutes.

2. Squeeze it and add it to the minced meat dish.

3. Chop the onion with a blender or pass it through the meat grinder with a large sieve, transfer it to the fish bowl, add egg, peas, dill, salt, your favorite fish spices and mix the ingredients very well.

4. Pass the frozen butter through a large grater, add it to the mince and mix again with a spoon or whisk, not with your hands. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes.

5. Shape the meatballs of any size, about 90-100 gr each, pass them through the breadcrumbs and fry them on a hot pan with oil over medium to low heat for 3-4 minutes, then turn them over, cover the pan with a lid and cook. meatballs for another 5-6 minutes on low heat.

The meatballs keep their shape well, but they are very juicy. Butter makes any fish juicy. Try it, the meatballs with peas are very tasty.

We always asked her to make us more meatballs so we could enjoy more. Here's a good recipe for meatballs:

1. Put the crustless bread in warm milk to soften and then press and place in a large bowl.

2. Add the meat, egg yolks, finely chopped or grated onion, parsley, salt, pepper and nutmeg. Mix well.

3. With wet palms, make meatballs that are passed through flour, flattened and fried in hot oil. Remove on paper towels to absorb excess oil. They can be consumed both hot and cold.

White fish meatballs with mashed potatoes

Fried in oil or baked in the oven, fish meatballs they are light and taste surprisingly good. Perfectly balanced and flavorful due to the right spices to taste, they can be served with a variety of side dishes, from the classic mashed potatoes to the bold quinoa.

  • 500g fillets of white fish (without bones)
  • 1 finely chopped white onion
  • 2 slices of bread (or a small boiled potato)
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1-2 cloves of crushed garlic
  • ½ chopped green parsley
  • Meat for shaping meatballs
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt, pepper, thyme, hot pepper to taste

To quickly prepare fish meatballs, I recommend choosing a filleted white fish. It is most easily separated from the skin by boiling and can be easily deboned.

Boil salted water in a bowl (optionally, you can add a bay leaf and a few peppercorns). Add the fish and let it boil for 10 minutes after the water has boiled for the first time. Remove the fish, place it on a chopping board, check and clean the bones well, cutting it into pieces that are finely chopped with a knife or crushed in a food processor / blender.

In a deep bowl add:

  • Crushed fish
  • Slices of bread soaked in warm water (or milk) and squeezed well
  • Finely chopped white onions
  • Chopped parsley
  • Crushed garlic cloves
  • Beaten egg with a fork
  • Spices (taste the composition as it is incorporated).

Mix the composition well and season with salt. If you find it too soft, you can add two tablespoons of breadcrumbs. If it seems too dry and does not bind well, you can add a tablespoon of oil.

Moisten your hands and form walnut-sized balls from the above composition. Roll them in flour and flatten them by hand. Place them on the flour tray.

Fry the fish meatballs in dark oil until golden brown, turning from side to side.

*** If you are on a diet, you can bake them in the oven: Place the meatballs on an oven tray over which you have placed a baking sheet, sprinkle them with oil and put them in the preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes, until lightly browned.

Fish meatballs can be served with mashed potatoes.

Canned tuna meatballs

If you have a can of tuna in the fridge, try these delicious meatballs! A simple recipe that you can prepare both in the pan and in the oven.

The addition of boiled potato gives them a softer texture and manages to mask the pronounced taste of fish, but you can give it up if you follow a low carb diet.

The beaten egg is enough to bind the composition.

If you have canned tuna in its own juice, we recommend that you drain it well, using a gauze or a strainer and a fork with which you press.

In addition, if this is the type of tuna you have in the household, add another tablespoon of olive oil to the composition.

If you use organic tuna in olive oil, you no longer have to drain the meat or add olive oil.

  • 1 can of tuna in its own juice (160g)
  • ½ chopped white onion
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic, given through a small grater
  • 1 beaten egg
  • ½ bunch of parsley, finely chopped
  • Optional: 1 boiled potato, mashed
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

If you have tuna in your own juice, drain it well. Mix it with the other ingredients until the composition is well blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

*** The meatballs are just as delicious, with or without the addition of potatoes.

Heat 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in an adhering pan and add one tablespoon of the composition, leaving space between the meatballs. Brown them nicely on both sides and transfer them to a plate over which you placed a kitchen napkin.

Tuna meatballs can be served with any type of garnish, or with a simple salad.

Baked salmon meatballs

If we still have a fish release and we like to cook with salmon, why not take advantage and prepare these salmon and potato meatballs?

One of the simplest recipes, ready in just over half an hour.

They are very tasty and filling, they do not need a garnish (with potatoes in the composition) and can be served both hot, with a green salad and cold, between two slices of wholemeal bread as lunch for the next day.

  • 450g white potatoes, cut into large pieces
  • 350g salmon fillet
  • 1-2 eggs BIO, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons white flour
  • 100g pesmet
  • 1 teaspoon sweet mustard
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dill, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Boil the potatoes.

Wash the potatoes well, peel them with a vegetable peeler, cut them into large pieces and rinse them for the last time in a stream of cold water.

Add them in a bowl, cover them with water so that the water level exceeds the potatoes by 2-3 fingers and put the pot on the fire.

After boiling, add salt and place the lid. Boil them for 12-15 minutes until soft. Drain them well and mash them with a mashed potato, as for puree.

Cook the salmon.

Heat a teaspoon of oil in a grill pan with a non-stick coating. Place the salmon fillets and cook for 5-6 minutes. Let them cool for a few minutes then peel it off.

Prepare the salmon meatballs.

Mix the mashed potatoes with the mustard, lemon juice and spices. Add the salmon slices and incorporate.

Divide the composition into 6-8 balls, roll them in your palms and flatten them.

Prepare the oven tray.

Place a baking sheet over the baking tray and grease it with vegetable oil, using a silicone brush or a piece of paper napkin. Prepare three plates:

Pass the salmon meatballs through the flour, tap to remove the excess, line them with egg and then pass them through the breadcrumbs.

Repeat with each meatball separately and place it on the tray.

Spray oil on them and put in the preheated oven at 180C for 10-15 minutes, until nicely browned.

Salmon and potato meatballs are served hot, along with a lettuce.

Fish Meatballs - Recipes

Cut the fish fillet into pieces. Separate the egg. Mix the fish in the blender with the egg whites. (Yolks are not required in this recipe.)

Mix the cut fish with the mustard and a tablespoon of bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper.

Using a wet hand, shape the fish mixture into 4 meatballs. Let them rest for 5 minutes in the refrigerator.

Drain the ginger in a sieve, finely chop and mix with the salad cream.

Cook the noodles in boiling salted water according to the instructions on the package. Squeeze the lemon juice.

Mix the wasabi paste, sesame oil, soy sauce and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper. Drain the noodles and cool them briefly under cold water. Mix the noodles with the wasabi sauce.

Mix the sesame with the remaining bread crumbs and turn the meatballs to wrap, pressing the crumbs inside lightly.

Heat the oil in a pan and fry the fish meatballs for 3-4 minutes on each side at a medium temperature until golden and crispy. Serve the noodles with fish meatballs and ginger cream.
