- Bake for 20 minutes, or until crispy and brown on one side. Turn over and cook for another 20 minutes, or until they are all crispy on the outside and tender inside. Cooking time will vary depending on how thick you cut your chips.

I am so happy these Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Chips are baked and not fried. Not only are fried chips less healthy , but I have never been able to make them successfully. This recipe however was a complete success, and I now enjoy "healthy" homemade Sweet potato chips any time I like.
Sweet potato chips are amazing! I love the spicy combination on these. Making chips was my main motivation for getting a mandolin. You just can not slice the potatoes thin enough without one. These do take quite a bit of time to make. But, sweet potatoes hold a lot of moisture. So, I would not spend the time to make these all the time. But, they are really good.

If you decide you would like to remove your Materials from the Service, you may provide written notice to Prime Publishing by either deleting the image through the Prime Publishing interface or by contacting Prime Publishing customer service, and Prime Publishing will remove such Materials from the Service within a reasonable period of time.
5) License for Name, Trademarks and Likenesses. You hereby grant to Prime Publishing, its Affiliates and sublicensees a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use all trademarks, trade names, and the names and likenesses of any individuals that appear in the Materials. You grant Prime Publishing, its Affiliates and sublicensees the right to use the name that you submit in connection with the Materials.

You agree that you will not upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit Materials to us or our Affiliates that contain software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
9) No Obligation. Although we have the right to include your Materials in the Service or in any Media, we do not have the obligation to do so. We may, in our sole discretion and for any reason, refuse the Materials or remove them from our Service at any time.
10) Changes to Agreement. We reserve the right to change any of the terms of this Agreement or any Specifications or Guidelines governing the Service at any time in our sole discretion. All changes will be effective upon posting to the Service. However, for all changes to this Agreement, excluding Specifications and Guidelines, we will post a notice of change for thirty (30) days. Any action relating to this Agreement must be brought in the federal or state courts located in Seattle, Washington, and you irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of such courts. You may not assign this Agreement, by operation of law or otherwise, without our prior written consent. Subject to that restriction, this Agreement will be binding on, inure to, and be enforceable against the parties and their respective successors and permitted assigns. Oven Baked Sweet Potato Chips
It takes a little trial and error to achieve the perfect crispy texture when making baked potato “chips.” Without that coveted, crunchy exterior, you’re left with the equivalent of a thinly sliced baked potato.
And while it might taste delicious, it just doesn’t deliver that satisfying crunch you’ve been craving.
The good news? The method used in this recipe achieves the results you want.
The trade-off is it takes a little while to happen, so be sure to allow plenty of time for this one.
It can take up to 2 hours from start to finish, but the results are oh so worth it.
How to make Baked Sweet Potato Chips
The method of baking potato chips really isn’t difficult. You’ll need to slice them on the thinner side, toss them in some sort of herbs/spices and coat them with some oil before baking them in an even layer on a cookie sheet until they become the desired crispness you enjoy.
Scrub sweet potatoes and peel if desired. (I half-peeled mine) Slice with a thin sharp knife or a mandoline.
Sprinkle with paprika, seasoned salt and oregano.
Combine sliced yams with oil and spices.
Spread into an even layer on your baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, flip and bake 10 minutes more. Continue the process until the chips are the desired crispness.
Watch closely so they don’t burn!
Chipotle Sweet Potato Chips
Here’s the deal. I like spicy. I like sweet. Marry the two together and I about flip my lid. That’s what happened when I took a bite of these here chips.
I’ve loved making sweet potato chips so much that this is my third go at it. First, I did plain, then I did DARK CHOCOLATE (what? so good), and now we’re turning up the heat with chipotle powder. Can I just say sweet potatoes and chipotle pepper were made for each other? Ooh, what if we threw dark chocolate in the mix? Don’t even get me started…
How To Make Baked Sweet Potato Fritters
For these baked sweet potato fritters, I reached for my spiralizer.
If you don’t have one, you can use the large holes of a box grater. I find that sprializing gives the fritters more opportunities to get crisp on the edges.
Salt and pepper are all you need for roasted sweet potatoes, but I like to give these fritters a bit of a kick.
With the spiralized sweet potatoes, I toss them with the obvious salt and pepper plus cumin and cayenne pepper.
Scallions add fresh oniony flavor.
Stirring in lightly beaten eggs acts as the binder to hold the sweet potatoes together.
I scoop them by the heaping quarter-cup full and press them into patties.
They bake for 20-25 minutes at 400 degrees F until they are crisp and lightly browned at the edges.
There are so many ways to eat these sweet potato fritters. I serve them as appetizers with salsa or tahini for dipping.
Sweet potato fritters can top a salad. Or sandwich them on a bun for a veggie burger.
Baked Garlicky Sweet Potato Chips
Baked Garlicky Sweet Potato Chips are crispy, sweet-salty, and seasoned chips. Some garlic, pepper powder, and salt is all that is required to make them mouth-watering. These VEGAN and GLUTEN-FREE Sweet Potato chips are low calorie snack, and perfect for those who are weight conscious.

Easy Baked Sweet Potato Chips Recipe
Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit.
1. Wash and scrub your sweet potatoes, and then slice the potatoes very thin – about 1/8″ is good. A mandoline slicer is such a helpful tool here for very thin, evenly cut chips.
Note: Since we’re leaving the skin on, I recommend using organic sweet potatoes.
2. Combine your coating ingredients in a mixing bowl: extra virgin olive oil, a teaspoon of dried parsley or rosemary, a teaspoon of salt, and a tablespoon of finely-grated Parmesan cheese.
3. Toss the sliced sweet potatoes in the mixture, and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
4. Arrange sweet potato slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. I recommend lining the baking sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
5. Bake for approximately 10 minutes on each side, until the center of each chip is soft, and the edges are starting to become crisp.
6. Broil for a minute or two on each side until the chips have become perfectly crispy crunchy!
Note: The chips can burn quickly under the broiler, so keep a a very close eye on them.
